New Doll to Honor First Lady Dee Caperton
A new first lady doll is being added to a collection at the Culture Center in Charleston. The doll represents Dee Caperton. It is the newest in a collection and features Caperton in her Inaugural Ball gown. The West Virginia Division of Culture and History said in a news release that the same Washington DC artist designed the doll of first lady Joanne Jaeger Tomblin. The doll will be unveiled at 10 a.m. today in a ceremony at the Culture Center in the State Capitol Complex. After the ceremony, the doll will be added to the permanent exhibit on the south side of the balcony gallery on the second floor of the Culture Center.
