Nitro City Election Results Are Tight for City Council
Mayor Dave Casebolt and Recorder Rita Cox ran unopposed in yesterday’s city election in Nitro, but there were two contested races, for City Council Wards One and Four. According to unofficial results, Donna Boggs edged out Al Walls in Ward One with a vote of 56 to 47. In Ward Four, Michael Hill got 40 votes and Kenneth Terry got 39. WCHS TV reports there is one provisional ballot for Ward Four, and the votes are on schedule to be canvassed next Tuesday.
