The West Virginia Supreme Court has rejected a lawsuit filed against the county clerks of Kanawha and Cabell counties over their refusal to accept online voter registrations from the Secretary of State’s office. Cabell County Clerk Karen Cole tells the Herald-Dispatch that she received an official statement Tuesday afternoon from the court saying the petition filed by the American Civil Liberties Union of West Virginia had been rejected. The lawsuit had been filed earlier that same day.
