Pinnacle Mine employees get last minute reprieve

Employees at the Pinnacle Mine in Wyoming County were told that they can keep their jobs for at least two more weeks. The mine was scheduled to close Friday, but the deadline was extended. A potential new buyer is reported to be in negotiations. The mine is Wyoming County’s largest employer. If it closes it would mean the loss of hundreds of jobs and about 25-million-dollars in annually wages.
