Road Work Will Slow Traffic on the Turnpike

The West Virginia Parkways Authority says it’s a three-phase project that will slow traffic on the West Virginia Turnpike. The utility line crossing project is phase 1, which started Tuesday morning and lasts through Thursday. Expect rolling stops for north and southbound lanes on the Turnpike near Interstates 64/77. Phase 2 starts Monday the 19th and they’ll have more rolling stops in the same area. Then the third phase is scheduled for September 20th through 30th and the right lane will be closed from 8am to 5pm. They’ve got flaggers out during all the road closures.
