Rural Economies Bill

A new bill introduced by Senator Shelley Moore Capito will greet the new legislature when they meet after the first of the year. The Creating Opportunities for Rural Economies bill is designed to provide some relief to states like West Virginia that have lost coalfield jobs. The CORE Act is designed to use money from the New Markets Tax Credits program to fund retraining of coal miners and others who have lost mining related jobs.
