Splash Pad Opens Today with Ribbon Cutting

Charleston will have a new attraction at Magic Island this afternoon. The ribbon cutting for the new splash pad is set for 11am, and Mayor Danny Jones and other city leaders will be there. Right after the ribbon cutting they’ll let kids start using the splash pad. Funds for the new Magic Island splash pad came from the City of Charleston and a grant issued through the Building Better Communities initiative, a program of the American Water Charitable Foundation and the National Recreation and Park Association.
