Tomblin writes letter to Obama
A letter from Governor Earl Ray Tomblin is on its way to President Obama. In it Tomblin is asking for an additional 300-million dollars in federal flood relief. The governor told the president that many of the homes and businesses that were damaged or destroyed are unable to take on more debt, even with the help of a low interest loan. If approved, the money would come from the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery fund, which is part of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
