Two Men Face Animal Cruelty Charges
Two men are facing charges after police say they left two puppies to die in an alley on the West Side of Charleston. Hakeem T. Ford and Johnathan Lee Williams are charged with two counts of cruelty to animals. According to criminal complaints filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court, Ford and Williams told investigators they left the puppies in the alley to die after attempting to get medical treatment for them at the Kanawha Charleston Humane Association and failing to follow up. One puppy survived and will recover.
