Voters to Decide on Sunday Hunting in Kanawha County

This election, Kanawha County voters will have the option to vote to legalize private property hunting on Sundays.

In Kanawha County it is legal to hunt six days of the week during hunting seasons, but not on Sundays.

This election there is a chance to change that by voting to legalize Sunday hunting only on private property.

If most voters check yes, DNR lieutenant Warren Goodson said he’s afraid not everyone will abide by those limitations.

Sunday hunting is on the ballot in eight other counties and it is already legal in 22 counties.
