Wayne County Assessor Charges Head to Grand Jury
Charges against the Wayne County Assessor are headed to a grand jury. Eric Hodges is accused of embezzlement for using his two county credit cards to rack up purchases of more than $50,000. WCHS TV reports the items were for personal use like an ATV, guns and tools, and he asked for credit limit increases. Hodges is also facing charges for making terroristic threats for allegedly threatening employees at Huntingtonized Federal Credit Union after being denied a $2,000 loan. The grand jury will consider the charges in November.
