West Nile is Discovered in Mosquito Sample
The Kanawha-Charleston and Putnam health departments have been monitoring mosquito populations, and a sample has tested positive for West Nile virus. They’re advising that you remove standing water from around your home and wear mosquito repellant to reduce the risk. Symptoms of West Nile include body aches, body rash, diarrhea, headaches, joint pains or vomiting. A news release did not identify specifically where the mosquitoes were found.
