WVU Colesium Opens Again After Asbestos is Found
West Virginia University’s basketball arena has reopened three days after asbestos was detected found in materials exposed during construction. The building reopened Monday after lab tests of air samples passed regulatory tests. The asbestos was found Friday above ceilings in restroom entrances that surround the concourse as the Coliseum undergoes a $15 million renovation. The university says in a news release that commencement exercises planned at the Coliseum May 13 through 15 will go on as scheduled.
